When I opened my eyes
All I saw was red
I was scared of what it meant
It was even on my bed
It was red like blood
And it clouded my eyes
I wondered how it got there
Was it coming from my lies?
It took a minute to realize
It was coming from my vein
The one on my wrist
The one that bled my pain
I tried to convince myself
That it wasn't really there
But it didn't go away
It just didn't seem fair
So I closed my eyes
To try to escape what I saw
But it was even in my dreams
I suddenly felt myself fall
I wondered if this was death
I wanted to scream
But I couldn't find breath
My eyes were burning
And I started to cry
I layed in my bed
Waiting to die
I finally fell asleep
And woke to a voice
Of an unknown friend
Saying I had a choice
I opened my eyes
To see I was alone in my bed
But I'll never forget the day
That I saw red....
