 I lie here
and I cry to myself,
as I cry here
and I lie to myself.
I say I'm over it,
you're not worth the tears.
No looking back,
those were wasted years.
But every tear
is a lesson learned;
it's cold as ice
where your love once burned.
Love was a bridge
that we dared to cross.
We paid the toll,
the ultimate cost.
As I lie here
and cry to myself,
I find that I
can think of no one else.
So I shed a tear
for a lesson learned,
a broken heart,
and a bridge that's burned.
I shed a tear,
yeah, I cry a little,
and as I look back,
you know I die a little.
So I cry here
and I lie to myself
as you lie somewhere
loving someone else.
