Satin Blue Dreaming

Moonlight beam finds it’s mark, sneaking through the lace. It’s target
found, as if on cue, silhouettes her face.

Silky hair’s splayed out across my chest, she’s tired and fast asleep.
Tomorrow she’s gone, homeward bound, dreading uncertain deep.

Time has cheated, time has lied, time has raced too fast. She cannot take my
heart so quick to ever make this last.

She’s quiet now but there is no way, I’d even miss one breath. Dreams of
love, dreams of peace may come past my morning death.

So much to say, I can’t speak now, It’s time to hold her tight. Kiss her
neck, caress her skin, stay drunk on her all night.

There is no dawn, there is no sun, I don’t want this to ever end. I need, I
want, I crave, I love, on this I can not bend.

Satin Blue, you feel so good, this moment’s end is crime. Tomorrow’s a
dream, the past fades fast, without her- just black time.
