I can't remember your face, or the sound of your voice
All I know is the day, that you made your final choice

Who could know what you were thinking
None of us could tell
In your mind, your problems sinking
I can't imagine what you must have felt

It's so hard being happy, knowing that you're not
You might think I didn't realize, But I never forgot

All I want is to make you proud
I call out your name, and receive not a sound

It's hard to accept, I'll never see you again
What a thought I often wonder, but can't even pretend

You didn't know I wouldn't have left you
Had you given me the choice
You didn't think I loved you
And now I've lost my voice

It's too late
