Nothing like this.

Effervescence sparkles white
Emotional languish trembles to life
Ripped, deprived, and born again
You trace the scars
Of those you could not fend

The hearts cannot race,
But touch can shake
Emerald blues limn to green lush,
And cheeks burn to a red, florid blush

Apologies should be a nonentity,
Because feeling is read so sentimentally
To cozen against your only morals,
All revealed like zealed florals

Laconic at it's best,
Simpler than the rest

And the things you miss,
The lips you've kissed,
Are nothing like this.
It was never like this.
