I've got my songs, and you've got your soul.

Let the old legends fill your ears,
their songs to change our the world.
Let their story be told,
the spirit to stay alive.
I've seen the bomb and the damage done...
The ignorance and pride that dwell in one.
I've seen the inspiration come and pass,
if I'm lucky they'll pass the flame.

It's hard to live in the moment,
rather than the past.
But the wind of change is coming strong,
and she whispers,
"Justice, peace, and equality for all."
The storm's brewing...
I've got my songs, and you've got your soul.

I've seen the needle, the pipe, the bottle,
and the damage done.
But worse, I've seen the hatred, intolerance, and desperation.
Today I have strength.
Today the legends stir the fire.
Today my hand holds the pen.
But the wind of change is coming strong,
and she whispers,
"Justice, peace, and equality for all."
The storm's brewing...
I've got my songs, and you've got your soul.
