everyday,
the moon travels away from us
and it's like
when it's gone, we see it best.

moonstruck means just
a manageable
mass of madness;
a mild case.

it could cure your warts
or strike you blind,
either way, we will forever
look up when we pray.

the moon is a lover of long goodbyes,
so often it will stick, as shards in the sky.
a smokey vapor or God's thumb nail,
the difference is little.

for a long time we knew:
sun and moon,
but we didn't know
who was chasing who.
coming and going
always got confused.

yin and yang like
night and day,
a cosmic courtship
in the art of balancing.

mystic make believe,
religion or superstition.

every month, the moon
drops eggs down tubes,
and holds
certain lunar hopes
for insemination.
a celestial destiny.
we look for God in anything.

the moon follows only one orbit,
in a whole universe of circles and cycles.

how special you are, is for you to decide.

maybe the moon only moves
so that owls and cows
and children in China
get to see it too.

who gets to say what's true?
(you do!)
you can (and will)
pick and choose
without any real proof.

every morning the moon leaves,
is to make me learn the word:
temporary.

an end is what i expect,
right from the beginning.
