The Whole in My Heart

In this place where my dreams meet,
Where my nightmares come to haunt my sleep,
Where light is shattered by beams of forthcoming darkness,
And night is tattered and tainted by screams from the heartless,

This is the place that is free of growth or change
Free of lies and deception, so certain to stay the same,
I cannot be hurt here, for here I cannot see or feel
Here I cannot be broken, I cannot be shattered or killed,

I cannot be betrayed in this place where I am alone,
This place I have been frozen within for so long,
It is the place inside of me, the whole in my heart,
My savior kingdom within, my home and my refuge, my dark.
