Once upon a love song,
upon one lovely dance,
two people moved as one,
true love born out of chance.
A high school senior prom,
love that could do no wrong,
breathing life into a fairy tale,
once upon that lovely song.
Then once again upon that song,
two lovers hold on tight,
twirling through their fantasy
on this, their wedding night.
When they dance to their song,
the music fills their hearts,
they're lost in each other's eyes,
as they have been from the start.
Once upon a love song
could never be enough.
The music must play on,
must feed their endless love.
Fifty years upon a love song,
not just once or twice,
two lovers just danced on
to the love song of their life.
Once upon a love song
at a high school prom,
although the party ended,
the music still played on.
