Tired of Sharing Your Heart

I loved you more than I could say
However, you didn't feel the same way
The words I spoke, came straight from my heart
The words you spoke, were lies from the start
The things I shared with you were sacred
The things you gave to me felt like hatred
I gave you my heart, wrapped in a ribbon
You gave it back to me with the knife you put in it
My body, my temple, I shared only with you
Your mind and your soul, I shared with a few
When I would kiss you, I felt so complete
But you felt so empty when our lips would meet
It was like when I felt a spark, you only felt a shock
You had the key to my heart, but yours remained locked
So finally I realize that I can't share you anymore
He had the key to your heart
I'm tired of banging on the door...
