The Girl I saw in Time Square

I was walking down Time Square and there stood a girl.
She was more than pretty ,but less than beautiful .
She wasn't short, but she wasn’t tall.
She was everything ,and yet nothing at all.
On her there was no smile but only a frown.
The look in her eye said “let this be over now”.
She didn’t stand out, but she could never blend in.
Everything about her screamed let this end
A tear left her eye and ran down her face.
She took a step, oh how it was filled with grace.
But then I notice I was to late.
I couldn’t look up from where she lied.
A car had hit the girl. The girl had died.
