A Secret And An Aching Head (They Lye In The Same Bed)

does your heart bleed
do you feel me
when you breathe
wear the memory
on your sleeve
or is it buried beneath
what you pretend to be
or do you keep
it all in your dreams
i hope you still scream

would you call this a haze
or a daze
you cant love enough to hate
and its already too late
on the cold nights
i wonder why
you couldn't be mine
i stare into the sky
hoping for a sign

the sky
is dead
my eyes
cold and red
side by side
a secret and an aching head
they lye in the same bed
kept warm by the lies
swelling up so thick
deafening the clock goes tick..tick..tick

are you doing the same
in your fairy tale of shame
take his name
ill take the blame
sick of spinning around
why is this what I've found
the rushing silence
crashes in
over the events
the sin

hold on, its so hard
c'mon, time heals all scars
darlin do not fear
i will always be right here
waiting to swim in the dreams
we used to need
but a heart on a sleeve
doesn't bleed
it turns to dust
strangled by envy and lust
without trust
pain is a must
its your only friend
hide and pretend
nights aren't lonely
without your one and only
the rushing silence
crashes in
over the sins

the sky
is dead
my eyes
cold and red
side by side
a secret and an aching head
they lye in the same bed
kept warm by the lies
swelling up so thick
deafening the clock goes tick..tick..tick
