A Lonely Man

A lonely man was stopped today,
While passing through a field.
Twas the Dark of Night,
That caused the fright,
Who beckoned him to yield.

A steel-cold hand reached to the man,
To question why he crossed.
The man closed his eyes,
With final compromise,
In admittance that he'd lost.
