Sleepless Nights in Paradise

Sleepless Nights in Paradise.

Why did you give your lives?
So many must have lied..
Why did you try?
So many mothers cried.

I hope you can still hear them screaming,
Still see their eyes.
I hope you’re suffering through
Sleepless nights in Paradise.

You did it for God?
To purify your soul?
You don’t even know Him.
He’s the one you did this for?

You didn’t settle the score.
You increased the hatred even more.
This is not some Holy War.
See those tear drops upon the shore?

Children dying, nations trying,
People from far and wide uniting.

Did you make it through the gates?
Did you meet your maker?
Did you accept your fate?

I doubt you did, I can almost guarantee,
You’re some place much worse.
But just in case that may not be…

Listen to me…

I hope you can still hear them screaming,
Still see their eyes.
I hope you’re suffering through
Sleepless nights in Paradise.
