Forever Asleep

Trapped in darkness forever, a never ending dream,
Deeper into sleep, she sinks, behind the veil she screams,
Nobody hears her pleas, she is silent, never to ever wake,
In a world of Technicolor black and white, never to ever escape,

She wonders through the maze of blackness, consciousness gone,
Stumbling on nonexistent thought, so cold, so lost, all alone,
The blood in her veins flows warm, she breathes, her heart beats,
But she is unaware of her existence in reality, her mind forever asleep.
