When she knows for a fact
That she's not gonna be there
She shouldn't tell him that she loves him
Or that she even cares

He's given all he can
Stayed right by her side
And all she ever did to him
Was lie, lie, lie

But still there he was
Trying to stay tall and proud
And again all she did to him
Was run him into the ground

He doesn't know why he stayed
Why he didn't run
He should've left long ago
Tried to have more fun

But the sad part to all this
Is that he still chooses to stay
Because his love for her is so strong
He wants to be with her again someday

So he'll keep his door open
Like a house with no air
Hoping one day she'll come back
That one day she'll truly be there

So when she knows for a fact
That she'll honestly be there
She can tell him that she loves him again
And that she truly cares...
