My childhood was not a dream come true
But it’s something few people knew
It did not consist of hugs and kisses
Only a stream of ill witted disses
There was no reason to be jovial or glad
Indifference was the only thing I had
There was no crib no rattle
Just an ensuing battle
No fond memories of learning to walk
Or a little boy learning to talk
Just being handed off like second hand trash
So some crappy foster family can make some quick cash
But these were the cards I was dealt
Despite the barrage of overwhelming feelings I felt
I just want to be free
So ill just be and let be
