You are always near
You are there when I need you
You are there when I think I don’t need you
Yet you know when I do.

Having you near
Makes my good days better
and my bad days tolerable.
You don’t make my days easy
but you don’t make them so hard that I can’t handle it.

You know how hard to push me
and you know when I can go further than where I am.

You listen to what I say
You hold me when I cry
You never tell me what I want to hear
only what I have to hear
even if you know I wont take your advice.

You always seem to know what I’m up to
And yet some how that’s okay with me.

I know you will be there for me
When I need you most.
Every day for the rest of our lives together
You will be near.
