So here I am
Holding what remains of my life
A shattered dream
A broken heart
Life slipping from my body
I feel death on my shoulders
With no words to express
I let you walk away
The victor in everyone's eyes
Except mine
I can see you for what you are
A sniveling curse of man
A cheat at life
A heartless foe whom I stood
Helpless against his unfeeling will
If I could only have one chance
Just one chance
To hold you in the palm of my hand
I would close my fingers
Around you tightly
Stealing your pathetic life from you
Letting you fall with your black heart
But sadly
I would not
I could never kill
I could never
Or even want to be
You.
