Deep inside my heart is full of fiery flames
not knowing where to go
escape flitters at my instincts but yet something is holding me back
from what I can't explain
The shadows deepen into darkness
soon I'm locked in a threshold I have not seen.

In the distance the subtle sound of doors closing around me.
trapped in an embrace I have never felt in my life
the struggle to break free is not worth trying
feeling helpless as shivers race through me
not knowing what I am to do.

Soon I look up and see the most brilliant light I ever seen
doors around me no longer surround me as if something touched me
The searing light grew closer, what it was I couldn't be sure
something, someone was there but what
could it be an angel from the heavens above?

Then I saw it a pair of hands glittering in the light
reaching out to me clutching my heart at once
echoes of words came more clear ,a voice called
look to me and I will show you the way in which you should go
fear no more for I am with you, worry no longer for your worries have gone
astray.

Within a moment the voice went away and the light was no more present
alone now with a revelation so close to me heart
I live for Christ and Christ alone
for I know my chains are free around me and I can live the life I know
I'm meant to live and nothing more.
