The choice you make

I am who I choose
This choice is my own
How dare you use our love
To change the one you knew

My life was always yours
There to give and to take
Taken or left, forgotten....
That is your choice to make.

So many nights I wondered
Being so many miles away
Thinking about the words I said
And all these sacrifices that I made.

To think I would have waited
Only dreaming of your face
How foolish I must seem now
To know you couldn't wait

Fuck your opposition
And the choices you had faced
Reduced to only lies you made
When you looked me in the face

How dare you grant me something
If you had always planned to take
That my dear, is the hardest thing
Knowing that I forgave for all your mistakes.

To hell with all your foolish pride
You turned your heart from me.
Glaring with those cheating eyes
Oh, the wonders they could have seen.

I could have been the greatest thing
Your prince or your knight
But now you live the choice you made
And I must say goodbye....
