Change The World

You can change the world
As it falls before your feet

Watch like tears fall and crumble
In the smoke of it's own ruin

You smile at the irony
Of the battle you've one

Since you're the one standing
And you've lost all you've known.

Mintues are mere hours
And those hours soon days

Life is like many
Nothing more that simple plays

We try to change destiny
But only fall in it's wake

To think you could change the world
Yet you can't change me.

All the thieves are gods
And the lies our laws

Faith in the faithless
But we follow in awe

To think that once
I had faith in you

But this ruin became
Something I always knew

We could stare at pictures
And remember lives gone past

Only to soon realize
That we're losing our future

You think can change
This world the we know

You think you can change the world
Yet you couldn't change me.
