I'll Wait

The light upon which you shed,
Brightens the darkness that lies ahead.
Sometimes you make my days a little brighter,
You always make those light-hearted jokes a little lighter.
Then somedays I turn to see,
If it's you that truly loves me.
More often than not, it seems you do,
But other women, you pursue.
Guess my love just isn't enough,
But I'll hold out, I have to be tough.
You caught my eye, amidst the hurst,
When it came to love, you were my first.
But it seems as though you've found another,
Yet I'll still wait to be your lover.
