My World

I’m walking, running, skipping, trotting,
I continue on my way, my stomach starts knotting,
I ignore it, I don’t even notice as I keep on,
There are colors and lights everywhere even though it is almost dawn,
I haven’t noticed yet, in circles I have been going,
Even now I continue without knowing,
For something else my eyes have been captured by,
I am fixed on the colors swirling in the sky, and I give off a relieved
sigh,
Yellow, orange, red, blue, purple, and pink,
In the sky they float, to the ground they sink,
It’s like a jungle here with all kinds of exotic trees,
Yet there is a path cleared, and I know it is just for me,
Though no one is here, I am totally alone,
Even so I am happy here as I skip along,
And so this is how my life is spent…
I don’t get hurt, I don’t die, I just skip on, around the circle for which
I’m meant.
