I can Not go to School Today

I can not go to school today for I am very ill,
my fever’s 404 I can’t pop another pill.
The room is spinning ‘round and ‘round,
my window’s turning upside down! I close my eyes but cannot sleep,
my dirty tissues in a heap
My toes are cold, my face is red
my body feels as if dead
My head is heavy my body one ache,
trust me Mom I’m not a fake!
Too bad I’ll miss English class, Mrs. Tebbe will be mad,
I really wanted to go today...oh well, it’s a shame, too bad.
I’m going dilarious, I open the shade and there is snow all over the
roads.
I turn on the radio and to my surprise there is a snow day close.
My nose clears up, I feel my toes, my room is finally straight,
so up I go to rush downstairs but then my mom says, “Wait,”
“you said you felt terrible, you said that you were ill
from this bed you will not move and listen to me you will.”
and there she stopped with an evil grin, for I had gone too low
so that is why I can’t go to school today or play out in the snow.
