Shy

Could it ruin the things you love?
Could it build tension to the end of a bitter day?
Would it ever stop you from moving forward?
Or move barriers unbreakable from your way?

It won’t be the thing for which you’re known
I wont let it even bother me
Let the others speak of you on a weakened knee
But keep moving on, you know you’ve grown

Could it prevent you from landing trade in all you’ve learned?
Or bottleneck thoughts not escaped, that are of your concern?
Does it ever feel like you want to break the chains?
And open up the eyes of surrounding scarred stains?

Do they say it changes the way we perceive who you are?
I could have judged you from the viewing far.
But I uncovered the truth from the un-tucked sheets.
Only to realize it’s the answers your hiding I could never redeem.

Shy won’t run who you are
Shy won’t prevent you from reaching stars
Shy will only make me dig deeper
To find out who you really are.
