Then came the day that he'd decide
The day was strickly out of spite
For the rest of their life she'd be his bride
Never knowing she'd feel contrite
He looked her straight in the eye an lied
Reading all the love letters he'd write
Promising he'd forever be by her side
The tears keep her up since he left her that night
She'd found the letters he tried to hide
Ones that wern't for her sight
Ones that said their hearts never collide
As she slowly turns out the light
Her little heart shattered inside
She shows everyone she's alright
Every piece of her broken heart he denied
Sleepless nights she tries to fight
An empty pillow she lays beside.
