Uncover The Disguise

I see the fear in your eyes,
It's those secrets in disguise.
The secrets of your family life,
All of your dreams turned into strife.
I see that fear in you,
And I read your thoughts and prayers.
You want to run away from here,
To anywhere but there.

The secrets of your family,
And how they beat you up.
I really want to help you out,
With all that messed up stuff.

Today is just the same as then,
I look into your eyes.
I see the fear within your heart,
I uncover the disguise.
Deep within your heart so giving,
Are the shattered pieces of love.
You don't want to be living now,
You don't even care about heaven above.

The secrets of your family,
And how they kill you slowly.
They don't encourage you at all,
They disrespect you totally.

The secrets of your family,
Make me sad and scared each time.
I get so scared I start to cry,
'cause you really want to kill yourself this time.
I love you like you're my family,
Because you're one of my best friends,
I sit and write this poem for you,
Hoping your life will never end.

Your life at home is really tough,
And I wish I could help you out.
I hate that life's always so rough,
But see, here's what it's about…
The hard things in life,
Just make you stronger.
'cause when you're going through them,
You really don't think you can live much longer.

So all this crap with you're family,
Will hopefully end soon.
But if it doesn't, I'll still be here,
Helping you face your doom.
