Without Me

I hear your voice and reach out
Skin touches a cold dark liquid
The liquid from the mirror runs down
Laughing, mocking blasphemous
Still I hear you

Across this line, I hear you
I reach through this darkness
I feel only the emptiness of my soul
Tears threaten, throat freezes
You need me, I am there

I am there without me.
I am here without me
Where did I go?
When did I leave?
When you read what I tried,
Will I still hear you?

Guilt washes over, bathing
Light fades away
Dirty, lost upon these beaten shores
I just wanted it to stop
The screaming has to stop
It won't, but now you may

I hear you
I still find hope to hear you
I dismay I will not
Life is and may ever more be
Me without me.
