People push him aside and turn him away,
Unaware that his feelings are true.
Just because his intrest lies in men more than women,
Why should he be banished from life?
Hes a great uncle, fun and caring,
Sure hes had troubles,
But hasnt everyone else.
Lost in a dream between whats wrong and whats right,
Never knowing what to say to the christians he meets.
Its not like he'll hurt you,
Homosexuality isnt a disease,
And its not his fault so leave him alone.
Why cant they see the mistakes they make,
Pushing those like him face down in the dirt,
To live in pain and abuse and a lower pay.
Why cant they see that theyre no different than others,
They have two eyes, a brain, and most importantly, a loving, beating heart.
It makes me mad when people talk bad about my uncle.
Or tell me that its hereditary and quickly walk away.
Even if I am a homosexual, Its not like Im gonna bite anybody.
I know that this poem doesnt make sense to most people,
But others read it clearly.
And if you have anything bad to say to me about my opinions,
Keep your comments to ourself,
I don't want to hear them.
But please try to understand,
That people are all the same,
We all do things that others don't.
We are only human.
Live, Laugh, and Love,
Girls or boys, whatever your type.
