I've Stayed too Long

I’ve stayed too long
The morning star is
Twinkling
My heart is breaking
I’ve stayed too long.

I came to pay you back
For all the love you’ve given
Just to pay you back
And nothing more.

Now I find my heart playing a
Familiar song
I’m in trouble
I’ve stayed too long.

My heart has betrayed me
My heart has succumbed
It has left me in disbelief
Apprehensive of the unknown
That is sure to come.

I’ve stayed too long
I can’t let you go
I don’t want to live
Without you
I’m in love with you so.

Goodbye was tonight’s theme
Now I’m living in a dream

I’m falling
Feeling
Once again
On this the night
Of our love’s end.

I came to say goodbye
Now everything’s gone
Wrong.
I love you now more than ever

My love,
I’ve stayed too long.
