Young Love

I've seen those who've found
Someone speacial, unique and kind:
The same kind of person
I'm wanting to find.

They're love is young,
But it is strong.
Youth may prevail,
But their memory of times past
Will not fail.

I had love once,
And youth took it from me.
Though then I did not,
Now I can see
The way that things can really be.

Just like my dreams
Are your affairs,
And it would be a lie
To say I don't care.

Some call it envy
Some call it desire,
But I call it both,
Because I wish it could be
Happening to me.

Though I'm glad for you,
And I swear it is true,
Because your my best friend
Through thick and through thin.

Be good with her friend,
And take nothing for granted.
Be ready for her,
And may she be ready for you.
