Guess Who's Winning

The road is glistening
i can't stop listening
to the sound
raindrops falling
they seem to be calling
my name out loud
it's all such perfection
i see my reflection
the air is cool
i've been tired
and uninspired
i'm no fool
I've gone mad
my fun's been had
Take the pain away
You expect me to lie
i'd rather die
Never, not today
And what's he's got
is in a knot
with a 2-sided face
silent words
that are absurd
put him in his place
none can see
he's wrong to be
just another man
we are all too afraid
to stop the masquerade
and say, "take my hand"
our lives are spinning
guess who's winning
this crooked game
the fear that controls us
that sculpts and molds us
fired with satan's flame
don't let it use you
hurt and abuse you
fight with strife
be willful and strong
keep holding on
it's your life
