The expanse of black space God painted, leaving it perfectly untainted.
An endless work of art was created with merely His fingers.
And in the night sky a message He to us sent, a bit of glory He lent.
For everyone has at one time adored the stars and let the incredulity
linger.
Our eyes absorb the image, vibrant hues splashed on black velvet,
And that instant in time we can’t forget.

Memories of such are locked away in our minds, a treasure chest of rare
finds.
The universe holds wonders that we may never behold, never see with our
eyes.
Thoughts and ideas generate inside our heads; on some mystery light is
shed.
Yet after an astonishing explosion that star slowly fades and dies.
And we are left with nothing more than before, another dim spot in the sky.
Left with trillions of other stars to navigate by.

Mesmerizing are the glittering cosmos, in gazing at them I find repose.
Deep within my mind I find so many things I can't explain.
I drift into a place of emotions and explore enthralling notions.
Constellations, galaxies, and other incredible things the universe does
contain.
What phenomenon do the heavens hold? How far away does light shine?
To list a fraction of what a single mind is capable of would take a
lifetime.

Impulses invade my line of thought; I discover the words I had vainly
sought
Light waves travel from a burning, shimmering star through the vast, cold
space.
Knowledge dwells and secrets are buried; into these words they are carried.
Beams of light reach our eyes, and that imprint, in the sky, finds its
place.
Memories bond with imagination to form every unparalleled line.
I stand in awe of the night sky above, a universe divine.

That blank sheet of paper I filled, and found myself quite thrilled.
For I had created a masterpiece never beheld before.
My soul was poured onto paper, that moment was captured for later.
It felt as if the path to my thoughts was clear, just past an opened door.
I was the artist who painted the picture; I made others see what I had.
And though I thought it impossible, my mind had more to add.
