I wish I were some where far away
Somewhere that I knew I could stay
A place that would be all mine
And no one would care about the time
Somewhere where they welcome you with open arms
A place where people don’t care who you are
I wish I were young once again
Because then all my wishes would come true
But in the world today
My wishes seem like they are so far away
The world today seems like such a scary place
It’s a place where people have to know what time it is
A place where people judge and stalk
A world of hate and no laughter
It’s a place where people have to know who you are
I just wish it would all go away
But I know that my wishes can’t come true
All because this world belongs to you
