My Search

Pushing through the crowd
Searching for a familiar face
Walking through the halls
Trying to keep a steady pace

I can barely think
I can hardly go to bed
When the image of you is vague
When your name is pounding inside my head

I can’t remember anything about you
But the fact that you seem sweet
I can’t wait to see you again
I’m so excited my heart skips a beat

Yes, you’re my passion, my ambition
Yes, I get dreadfully nervous around you
But I have a feeling you’re the one
A feeling you mean what you say, what you do

I don’t know if you even care
I don’t even think you know my name
But there's just something there
Since I’ve met you I haven’t been the same

I have only seen you but once
You’ve only spoken to me but one word
But when I see you again, if I see you again
I’m sure the beating of my heart will be heard

Approaching the school once more
Looking for you or your friend
Trying to see if I can reconize you
For until I find you, I promise my search will never end
