why couldn't life be simple?
why did it have to be so hard?
i love you for everything that you could be.
but why can't you see?
i hate how you can't see me, and never want me to be.
you are everything that i wanted and everything that i need.
but you left my heart empty and all it does is bleed.
that's the worst crime,
almost as bad as how much i love you,
how much i care for you,
how much i need you,
and how you are the only one that i want.
but you'll never truly know
because you don't open your eyes
to all the could be's,
would be's
and should be's
of lifes certainties.
