life. I DO know somebody who this happened to, so this poem is about

Mommy, Please don't cry
It will be okay
Daddy didnt hurt me
After school today

He didnt even touch me!
Didnt lay a thumb
We didnt say anything to each other
Please, dont call yourself dumb!

I know you dont believe me, mommy
But honestly, It's true
I have no more scars today
But now i see you do

I'm sorry Mommy, I made you cry
But I know he didnt mean it
Daddy wouldn't hurt us...
There's no way he could handle it

I'm sorry Mommy, here, I'll call 9-1-1
Give me the phone
Mommy, what're u doing?
Daddy isnt home!

Why'd you hang it up, Mommy?
Dont you want to live?
Mommy, you're going crazy!
Mommy, what is this?

I'm sorry, Mommy, please dont yell
I didnt mean to make you mad
Please dont make me cry, Mommy
Daddy's already made me sad

The door just shut, Mommy
That means Daddy's home
Please dont leave me, Mommy
Dont leave me on my own

Here Mommy, take my hand
We'll run away together
I'll have grandma pick us up
We'll live with her forever

Mommy, what're you doing?
That's not the right way!
He's coming Mommy, down the hall
And he has a knife today!

I'm sorry, Mommy
I didnt mean to run away
But maybe I'll see you again
In heaven, Someday
