What we live for
Could never compare
Of serenities bestrode upon thoughts
Of blessings rolling through life
Never to see the sun
Nor the rise of the moon
The song of life
Though distant and near
Plays a constant melody of enchantment
Never to harness the magnificent beauty
But rendering the immortal prestige
Persisting to engulf those who stray
And taking no heed to its wake
No longer a stillness or gentle rhythm
Rather a notorious blaspheme beyond hearing
With no insight of its destructiveness
Despite the thunder in the distance
Or the ravenous melodic pleas
Something pulls us back
And the once indecisive actions
Have enthralled legions
The presence we seek
The comfortingly harmful message
Reveals its head
Enticing its prisoners to serve.
