The darkness engulfs my eyes of sleep
The storm begins as darkness falls
What I want is torture
I can contain myself no longer
Yet I wade in its wake
Where the waves roll
I wish to understand it
Yet I am overcome by fear
My mind trembles
A breeze blows deep from within
Forcing a deathly coldness
My body shakes
And I lose myself in the rain
Beyond my sight
But within my grasp
I fear no more
The silence is no longer there
I feel the rain
The pain I cannot overcome
I wish where wishes have no ground
I am but I wish the rain would consume me
And yet it has
I fear not because of the rain
I know that dreams are relative
And the rain brings forth my pain
The rain will stop
But not yet
I have to find shelter
But I cannot move
My dream is now my reality
I feel no comfort in my pain
I wish to be
But I am not
They can’t understand
Though they claim to see
I wish they knew
But they know not
The more I stay
The harder it rains
The depth increases
And the waves crash against me
I’ve never felt a time without rain
I wish to feel a calmness
But wishes fall
And I have been taken in its power
I cannot because I have had
The water rushes over my body
Consuming me to my last breath.
