I did not know
How comfortable warmth could be,
How different love is
From sex,
How necessary comfort and love are,
How completely both needs could be filled.
I did not know
We were so much alike,
That our differences were imaginary
In spite of their validity,
That we both had found each other,
That we both had found ourselves.
I do not know
What will happen to this knowledge,
What changes we’ll go through
Together or alone,
How long anything can last
Or that we should worry.
