There used to be a time,
When no answers were needed.
And the advice of others,
Was always heeded.

But times change,
And people quickly grow.
All of a sudden,
There is nothing you know.

Your best friend is gone,
Now they are so “cool”.
All because you grew,
Now you’re in high school.

Everybody knows your business,
And they talk behind your back.
You are lost and confused,
But soon find a new pack.

High school is a life lesson,
That makes each of us strong.
Everyone will soon part,
It will not be very long.

Looking back on the years,
The only thing I regret.
Are the chances I never got,
And I will never forget.

For I am still growing,
And when you are gone.
The memories of you,
Will linger on.
