The Ones That Keep Us Free

We take things for granted, in all we do and see.
But what about those men, the ones that keep us free.
Some of them gave their lives, others lost a limb or two.
They did it for there country, the red, white, and the blue.
Our eagle soars above us, high in the sky so brave.
It smiles down on all those men, and every life they saved.
Through vicious wars of anger, they stood side by side.
Not backing down from anyone, not once to run and hide.
I'm proud to be an American, this land I truly love.
Protected by the eagle, that flies in the skies above.
I'd climb any mountain, or cross any raging sea.
If I could take a moment, to thank the ones that keep us free.
