Consider me for this future enterprise
What comes to pass will leave scars that last
And burdens are shouldered, our burdens are shouldered
Falsehoods are shattered; your eyes can’t hide you
They’ve destroyed my name; they’ve erased my face
And record books won’t show our names
History won’t know our faces
Good morning, wake to the unforgiving sun
Blasted lands, drought brings plague
And flames will hold the only memory of us
A blade in my soul, because you have forgotten me
-Dedicated to and inspired by Guy Gavriel Kay’s Tigana
