A black heart, a blackened soul
Such a depth of hatred as you will never know
The things you did, you said, lies you spread
I cried, I bled, I died inside
All just to please you and your tempered tides
A crimson sea and heavy grey clouds
All around, the sound of your words
Dripping like poison from a tainted tongue and
Infecting me with such insecurity, such unyielding hurt
You, on your pedestal, like some dark goddess
Ruling with an iron fist and a heart to match
Standing so firmly on boots that I kissed and,
You forced me to and, I got on my knees in
Submission to such an overbearing presence,
Weakened by such and intimidating presence
I was taken in and taken apart by your
Words that seethe with animosity and hate
And I still keep these scars on my heart
Scars placed by your craft and your art
The art of pain, of breaking me down
Until I just lay here on the ground
And your words will always haunt me
As I lay here on the ground
Your words still haunt me
You’re still just dragging me down
