You Decieved Yourself

The day u simply looked at me
and called me for your own
was the cloudy day you decieved yourself
and your true persona shown
the night you met me by the tree
casting shadows beneath the green
was the starlit night we smiled together
nothing is what it seems
did you take my hand in yours?
did you talk to me at all?
you played with my hair; caressed my cheeks
i sadly left you standing tall
what you forget and shan't remember
will never, ever belong to me
the pure, crystal reason we never conversed
i never possessed the gift of speech, you see...
