My wings have both broken as I plummet from the sky,
My eyes are both bruising as I continue to cry,
I get up to leave, yet I trip and fall,
I head for the hills but collide with a wall,
I try to scream a panicked help,
But nobody hears it as more than a puppies yelp,
I pick up a pencil to write a message of hope,
But as I read over it, it is a cause to mope,
Nothing is right and nothing can be done,
Give up the battle, the war is won.
