**Dedicated to my mother-may she rest in peace 10/25/03**

I see her face over and over again,
The last time I saw her
She was so frail and weak.
I held her hand, and felt so helpless
As I watch her take her last breath
She is my mother,
She is my best friend.
I try to stand strong,
But I couldn’t all the time.
I call to her, but she does not answer.
I know she can hear me,
But she cannot speak.
I feel so helpless, so empty, so lost.
She is gone now, I find hard to except
For I have not the strength….
She was always there
When I needed her.
She listened to me,
When no one else would
She never put me down,
Or told me I was wrong
She just listened and,
Helped me to guide myself
And stood by me for everything
There was only one thing she asked of me
Stand strong and live life to its fullest.
There was only one thing she told me to do,
Follow your heart, and be as happy as can be.
She was my mother,
She was my best friend.
She was my confider of everything
