The Queen of Hearts [intro]

Sitting ’pon the wooden bench
Gazing at the park
Wondering when life began
Pondering the start

Reminiscing all our thoughts
Without saying a word
With eyes like pearls, silent
Our complexities converge

We read our palms at midnight
For love was never stale
Staring coldly making stories
We told the largest fairytales

And loving every moment
It seems my memories a blur
For I know not what happened
But I hear every word

Playing like the records
Repeating all the change
And questioning our every thought
Like countless poker games

Deciphering the truth before
I made the simple move
And laying hearts upon the table
You had four more than I knew

So many thoughts to think of...
Reasons for you to stay
But know I see... The queen of hearts
Is the hardest heart to play

For once I was this king of love
A kingdom of my own
High beside my queen of hearts
Love beside my throne

But kings take too much offered them
And I could not get enough
I watched this queen of mine... This fairytale
Dethrone the king of love

Authors Note: This poem was just an evolution in my mind and I am going to
recreate the Queen of Hearts through another poem... We'll see when it
hits.
Thanks for reading.
