Sand Between the Toes

Chain me with your writings
And ill chain you with my soul
I've watched this loveless origami
Try to desperately unfold

For years it seems a silence
For the feelings I've contained
The shackled insecurities
To drive me steadily insane

You think this life is basic
You think this life is tamed
You think this life is boring
You're the one whose plain

I salvage my addictions
Through that which I have seen
I think of you the highest
I bleed the words I mean

And while you never understand
I'll sit and wait on fate
And watch as only death grows tall
To hide my happy state

Why will you but lie to me
Why will you but say
That only bad things follow
When following I stray

I slip into the desert
..Woefully mislead
By the tick tocks slowly echoing
The words you never said
